What is Creepy Co. Vintage Halloween?
Creepy Co. Vintage Halloween is our ongoing celebration of the strange, playful, and sometimes unsettling imagery that has defined Halloween for generations. Born from Creepy Co.’s longtime love of vintage Halloween and years of experience working with classic artwork, the collection brings fan-favorite designs from our archive back on button-up shirts, tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, and a small selection of home goods, along with a few new additions. Classic Halloween imagery comes to life through distinctive Creepy Co. patterns, scenes, and character-driven designs made to be worn, lived with, and enjoyed throughout the Halloween season and all year long.
Are these the same designs Creepy Co. previously sold?
Yes, many of them are. The idea behind this year’s collection was to revive fan favorites from Creepy Co.’s Halloween releases over the years, especially the designs people have asked us to bring back. Some are back much as you remember them. Others are back in new colorways or have been adapted for a different product style. There are a few new additions, too.
Is Creepy Co. Vintage Halloween affiliated with or licensed by Beistle?
No. Creepy Co. Vintage Halloween is an independent Creepy Co. collection and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by Beistle.
Why is Creepy Co. no longer a Beistle licensee?
For more than seven years, Creepy Co. had a wonderful run working directly with Beistle as a licensee, and we’re proud of what we created together. By the time Creepy Co. returned, Beistle had moved licensing management to an outside agency. Continuing under the new model would have meant no longer working directly with Beistle, having less creative freedom, and being limited to fewer product categories. We decided that wasn’t the right fit for Creepy Co. and chose not to pursue a new license. We’re grateful for our years partnering with Beistle, and there are no hard feelings.
Without a Beistle license, how can Creepy Co. offer many of the same designs as before?
A Beistle license and the copyright status of the artwork are two different things. Our former license allowed us to use the Beistle name and branding, as well as artwork that is still protected by copyright. We no longer use the Beistle name, logos, or branding, and we do not present these products as Beistle merchandise.
Many of the familiar designs in this collection draw on vintage Halloween artwork, including artwork originally published by Beistle, that has entered the public domain and may now be used by anyone. Beistle also has newer artwork that remains protected by copyright. Because Creepy Co. is no longer a Beistle licensee, designs using that protected artwork are not included in this collection.
Will you be adding more new designs and products to Creepy Co. Vintage Halloween?
Absolutely. For 2026, our focus has been bringing back fan favorites and rebuilding them for new suppliers and production methods. Beginning in 2027, we plan to expand Creepy Co. Vintage Halloween with new designs and products. The archive was our starting point, not the finish line, and we’re excited about where the collection goes next.
